Grow Your Business in 2023 with These Three Resolutions

Do you set either business or personal resolutions? While we know there’s some debate over the effectiveness of resolutions, we believe there’s value in making a decision and committing to it, especially in business.

As entrepreneurs, we often get swept up in the day-to-day work and lose sight of the bigger picture. Remember, you launched your business to have an impact while you grow your income. To do that, your business must be healthy and scalable.

Here are three resolutions (or commitments, if you struggle with that term) you can make in 2023 to grow your business.

Get to Know Your Target Market Better

You can never know your target market enough. Even if you feel like you know your audience inside and out, there’s always something to learn.

Commit to being in regular communication with your target market. Periodically reach out and speak with both existing and potential customers.

Dig deep to truly understand their problems. Then, figure out how they consider solutions to solving that problem. This information is critical in differentiating your brand and messaging to your market.

Make Three Good Moves Per Day

It’s easy to stay busy and be in motion as a business owner, but we want you to focus on making moves. Think of yourself as an athlete moving down a field. You can be in motion without making progress, but when you make a “move,” you get closer to your goal.

Commit to making three good moves toward your goal each day. For example, if you’re trying to increase demand for your product or service, your three moves could be:

  1. Spend 15 minutes networking on LinkedIn.
  2. Review HARO and respond to any relevant inquiries.
  3. Host a live session on social media to interact with leads.

Work on Your Business AND Yourself

A business is one of the most challenging things to build. And when you’re putting all that effort into something you’re passionate about, it’s easy to neglect yourself.

Commit to working on yourself, as well as your business. Here are a few things you can do:

  1. Find a mentor who can help you expand your knowledge and skills.
  2. Take leadership training courses.
  3. Learn to manage stress using tools like breathwork.
  4. Practice self-care, whether it’s just getting outside for a bit or taking some time to work on your passions outside of work.

  1. WOW!!
These are such simple concepts and YET, so EFFECTIVE! I sometimes feel like I bounce from job to job to earn a paycheck, fitting in pockets of time for my REAL passion, my Travel Business. My goal this year is already made, and my daily affirmations & gratitude statements are done daily, but these three concepts are definitely going to be added to my daily fun activities! I want 2023 to bring more joy and happiness into my life & my career, and to get off the hamster “groundhog day” wheel, & these concepts are going to help me do JUST that!! I want to have fun taking care of ME and my true passionate career. I want to focus on my clients, many of which I keep in weekly contact with, and find ways to get to know them better so I can better serve them. I want to have moments of joyous time to work on my social media & my advertising, and even my research. I want to have relaxation & fun interactions with taking care of ME again with my family & friend time, self care time & truly just my meditation & breathing time!
You hit the nail on the head with these amazing resolutions!! Thank you!
